Let wildlife set the distance
Follow the guide’s directions. Do not feed, bait, call, chase or crowd animals. Do not ask for a closer approach to improve a photograph. Keep noise low, and allow animals a clear way to move away.
Follow the agreed route
Use authorised access and respect current restrictions. Do not enter private land, leave the vehicle or approach water without appropriate local guidance.
Respect people and everyday life
Ask before photographing individuals, homes or ceremonies. Dress considerately when visiting religious places and respect any photography restrictions. Avoid blocking paths or treating residents as part of a staged attraction.
Leave less behind
Carry your litter back, minimise disposable items and avoid disturbing habitats. Discuss local guiding and community visits respectfully, without assuming access is included in a safari.
